This is what our living room used to look like. Long and not very wide. So, in our plans we decided to pop out the living room 10 feet so that we can have company over and not be cramped.
Corey had to remove all of the brick from the front of the house where this wall will ge removed.
Then he had to build internal support two feet in, before demoing the for the existing wall so that the house doesn't sag. Also, since this is our living room, very open to the rest of the house, he needed to put up a temporary wall until the front is closed up from the outside.
If we thought this part of the house was cramped before, now it is more than ever. Did I mention that our 50" wide screen is only 2-3 feet from the couch. It'll be nice when this is all done.
