Oh Baby!!

Today, I woke up and headed to work. Corey got up and headed outside to continue working on the facias. I showed up and worked for about 1 hour, and got a phone call that the kids I teach, were not coming. So, I headed home and helped Corey. It was a beautiful day here in sunny Las Vegas. The storms have finally past, and the next week to come is sunny with increasing temperatures, up to 70.
As you can all see, I am very pregnant and showing. Now I cannot go anywhere without a pregnancy question. "When am I due?" "What am I having?" Then I get some strange tale about their life. It is funny how people use pregnancy to ask personal questions and tell about their lives. This was just from the Wendy's drive thru window. One of the oddest things I'd have to say about this experience, is that men are the first to say something to me about my growth, the development, and to ask questions about the baby. I have had more men (friends of Corey's, neighbors, etc.) even touch or poke my stomach. Usually, they are fathers too, and think it's cool. Either way, it's funny. Most women don't even say anything.

Here I am pitching in and using the saw. I rule !! :o)

I am now 29 weeks pregnant (7 mo) and am working a saw. This was a new thing for me, but I actually like it. I used to be so scared of the machine, and hated watching Corey use it, but now that I understand it, it's fun.

The Pups

Here are a few updated picts of the dogs. As you can see, Belle has changed because we shaved her. Poor thing is even hot in the winter time here in Vegas. She looked a bit awkward, but we're used to it now.

Oh, the abuse...

Construction Zone - The Facia

Finally, I got Corey back outside and working. The facia (not sure if I spelled that correctly) finishes off the front of the overhang.

Here is Corey's friend Matt, breaking off the old brick to prepare for the cement, that was poured for the bay window, that is going in the room to the left in the picture. I also helped with the facia's and the brick removal. No sittin' back for me just because I'm pregnant or anything. :o)
The pictures are out of order, sorry.

Marlin Family

Here is a picture of me with my Cousin Christopher Marlin and his wife Janelle. They have three beautiful kids, and they are so well behaved. We were visiting after having lunch, one last time, before heading back from Ca. It was nice to touch base with them. I hope all is well in Cali.

6th Month

Dear Family and Friends...I am so sorry for being such a slouch. The baby is growing steadily, and is moving around more and more. It is fun to watch the movements, as my stomach contorts.

Below are some pictures of the deep scan - ultrasound. It was sooooo cool!!! I cried most of the time, because this was the first time the baby actually looked like a human being. I could have sat in that chair, watching the monitor of our baby Moon all day, everyday.

According to the Dr. the baby is 1 lb 4oz, which is a head of the game by 2 weeks. Therefore, we may have a bigger baby than initially anticipated. Also, the Dr. commented on the fact that I should have been more selective of the head size of the man I married (hinting that this kid already had a head on their shoulders). The Dr. also said that this kid, if they stay on the growth track we are currently on, will be around 8-9lbs. I am not that excited about having a huge baby. I figured that we'd have a nice 7 pounder, since I was 7 lbs. and so was Corey. So much for that. I must just be eating too well.

Other than that, things are going really well. I have just a small cold right now, but am thankful that I've healthy this far. I didn't get the flu shot. Corey is doing well too. Hanging in there with the sensitive wife he has, and all of the anticipation. We now have a crib - thanks to Cousin Tiffany, who suggested Craigslist for stuff. We got heck of a deal on it, it is real wood, so Corey is stripping it, sanding it, and staining it. It will be brand new before we know it. Also we bought a car seat with base for $20. This set is $160 new. It had a broken handle, so Corey called the company for a new part, and instead they are sending us a brand new car seat. The Lord is good to us. Now if we can just get the stroller, we'd be set. I keep an eye out on craigslist for it.

FYI, from what I hear the baby shower will be April 5th. So save the date if you plan to come. I promise to try harder with keeping this updated. We hope everyone is well. Take care.
