Welcome Madison Nicole Moon!!

Here is our precious new arrival. She was born April 29th, 2008 at 4:52am. She weighed 7 pounds 12 oz. and was 21 inches long. We were in labor since Sunday and didn't have her until 36 hours later. (Yes, I did get the epidural) The delivery went well, I had pushed for about an hour and a half, and then she was here. The whole time I thought she was going to be a boy, wow was I wrong. It is a beautiful surprise, as I couldn't imagine life with out her.

This first week with her has been great and exhausting all at the same time. I can truly see how important it is to have a strong marriage while having children. This experience has only strengthened our relationship, and it's only been a week. :o) She sleeps solid and stays asleep anywhere from 3-4 hours at a time. She is a good sucker, so breastfeeding has been going well (well for her, pain for me)

Corey has been a great father since the beginning. He changes most of her diapers, burps her, and helps with whatever is needed. She looks like Corey. If it wasn't for the fact that I birthed her, I'd be surprised she was mine.

These are some pictures of our sad attempt to be photographers. Since our pictures weren't coming out as good as we had hoped, the next blog shows the professional ones we did today.

37 weeks - The end is near.

Here are the last pregnancy pictures of me, other than the hospital picts that are soon to come. We are 37 weeks and the baby is estimated to be 8.8 lbs. Therefore, we are having an aminosentesis on Sunday at 8am and then if the results are good, we are to be induced at 3pm. Yeah, the end is near. I am retaining so much water, it is painful. Other than that, this pregnancy has been a blessing. Everything has been textbook, and I've been able to remain active the entire time.
Oh yeah, and the dang stretch marks finally came in during this last weekend. I noticed them while we were camping. This whole time I have been faithful and kept cream and oil's on the whole area, and what do I get, stretch marks!!! Ahhh.

We will be at Mt. View Hospital in Las Vegas NV. Once the baby has been born, within a few hours or so, the picture will be posted on their website. Here is the site to check out. We don't know the sex of the baby or a name yet, but it's last name will be Moon. :o) We are excited and scared all wrapped up into one. Please keep us in your prayers that everything will go well. The next time I update this blog their will be one more Moon in the family.

Mt. Charleston

Here we are 37 weeks pregnant and we are camping. This was the only weekend that we were able to get away (only 30min), and be somewhere else before the baby arrives. It is 80-90 in town and here the highs were 40-50. We were amazed at how much snow was at our level at the camp ground. It was neat though, because Cassidy and Belle were able to play and have fun.
However, because of the snow and this being the first weekend that this site has been open, we had no running water. Therefore, we had to be completely relient on our own resources. We did just fine.
Belle and Cassidy would run up and down this hill that was behind our site, and since there was hardly any other people there, they could be off leash. Belle is a natural snow dog, expecially being that she is a mountian dog, she would look for every snow pile and lay in it.
I have a bun in the oven. Or as I like to call it, a butter-ball turkey.
Corey and I would through snow balls up the hill, and the dogs would chase them. However, when the balls hit the ground they would fall apart and they couldn't figure that out. So they would continue looking for the ball.

Month ???

I've lost track of which month's picture this is. Maybe the begining of the 9th. I know I didn't post the 8th. Sorry for that. Here I am in our newly finished bedroom (YEAH!!!) and I am huge. The baby is taking up more and more space up in there. The movements are more like swishing around than kicking and jabbing. My hands, face, and feet have started to swell. Mostly my hands are giving me trouble, and I can only walk about 15 min. before I need to stop. Wow, it is time yet, because I am ready.

Construction Zone - Yeah Bob and Jan are here!!!

It is such a blessing when Bob and Jan are able to visit. Bob work's so good with Corey that so much gets done when he visits. I feel bad that they take up their vacation time to work, but I won't complain. On the first few days, Corey and Bob worked on the facias and the roof.
Then they prepared the roof for the roofers to come in and lay the tar paper and tile.

It only took about 4 hours and a crew of roofers to make this job look easy. It is crazy how professionals can do that. It took Corey and Bob a whole day just to remove the old roof. Because of Bob and Jan's generosity we were able to hire people to do it. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Finally, we are able to purchase the tile for the front half of the house. We were also waiting for Corey to get the bedroom's roof done to order the tile. It took 2 semi-trucks and a huge fork-lift to unload the many pallets of heavy tile.

Ahh...demolition. Here is Luke (Corey's closest friend) helping out as usual (Thanks Luke). This is the only bedroom that Corey and I have to sleep in, and here it is being demo'd. We had to move into the dinning room for a month while this work was being done.


We opened it up to put in the bay window. This way the front was more balanced with the addition that was done to the livining room.
We didn't go anywhere until Corey got the siding up. Otherwise the house would be completely open to anyone.
